Dr. Kendrah Leontine Da Silva

- President -  

 

Dr. Kendrah da Silva, owner of Midrand Chiropractic, is a licensed Chiropractor in family practice and serves the Midrand, Johannesburg North and Centurion communities. Dr. Kendrah established her private chiropractic practice after earning her MdipTech: Chiropractic degree from Technicon Natal in 1994. She has been treating patients from all walks of life for the past twenty-four years.

 

Dr. Kendrah is dedicated to the advancement of the Chiropractic profession and has, for this reason, been serving on the Chiropractic Association of South Africa (CASA) since 1998. She served as President for the first time from September 2005 to December 2008. In September of 2014 she took up the office of Vice-President of CASA and is leading the association as President once more since September 2017. Dr. Kendrah is dedicated to the advancement of the Chiropractic profession by serving the profession in this way. Her other professional memberships include the South African Spine Society (SASS), the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) and the African Chiropractic Federation (ACF).

 

Midrand Chiropractic, Dr. Kendrah’s private family practice, treats patients with chiropractic needs from all walks of life from sports injuries and busy professionals to mothers-to-be and newborns. In addition to managing her practice she is also a lecturer for Chiropractic students at the University of Johannesburg as well as teaching kinesiology taping.

Dr. Luke Eric Schmidt

Dr. Luke Schmidt, owner of Olivedale Family Chiropractic, is a licensed Chiropractor in who serves the Olivedale and surrounding communities. In addition to having graduated with an M.Tech: Chiropractic and a certificate in Kinesio Taping he is an International Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (ICCSP) through the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic/Federation Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport (FICS).

Dr. Luke opened his private practice in 2014 after completing his clinical and internship years and has since treated paediatrics, pregnant women, geriatrics and sportsmen and women in addition to the general day-to-day complaints and injuries. He has also treated injuries at numerous sporting events including the Africa Crossfit Regionals and the 94.7 Cycle Challenge.

Dr. Luke serves on the board of the Chiropractic Association of South Africa (CASA) as the Association’s Vice-president.    In addition he is registered with Chirosport South Africa, Paediatric Chiropractic South Africa, the South African Spine Society, the World Congress of Chiropractic Students (as an alumni) and with the Golden Key Honour Society.

Olivedale Family Chiropractic welcomes patients from all walks of life with chiropractic needs of any nature.

Dr. Bridget Francoise Bromfield

- Secretary General -

Dr. Bridget Bromfield is a licensed Chiropractor who uses evidence based care to treat patients from newborns to senior citizens at her practice in Amanzimtoti.  Dr. Bridget has been in private practice for the past 21 years since graduating with her M.Tech: Chiropractic degree from Technikon Natal.

Dr. Bridget is registered with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa and also serves on the board of the Chiropractic Association of South Africa (CASA). In addition, she was president of the Association From 2003 to 2005. From 2001 to 2011 she held a position on the Professional Board for Chiropractic and Osteopathy as well as being a council member for Chiropractic on the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa. Dr. Bridget is currently professionally registered with the Chiropractic Association of South Africa (CASA), the South African Spine Society, Paediatric Chiropractic South Africa, the African Chiropractic Federation and the World Federation Chiropractique.

Dr. Bridget’s private practice in Amanzimtoti focuses on providing chiropractic care for the whole family for all types of conditions including pinched nerves, headaches, neck pain, lower back pain, shoulder pain, sciatica and colic.  Focusing on patients from both ends of life’s spectrum she has special interest in both paediatric- and geriatric care.

Dr. Charmaine Lynn Dell

- Council Member -

Dr. Charmaine Dell is a registered Chiropractor at the Durbanville Natural Health Centre providing chiropractic care to the Durbanville and surrounding communities. Dr. Charmaine earned her National Diploma in Bio-medical Technology (Haematology) from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 1998 and also graduated from the University of Johannesburg with her MTech: Chiropractic in 2005.

Dr. Charmaine serves on the board of the Chiropractic Association of South Africa (CASA) and is also registered professionally with Chirosport.  Her chiropractic areas of special interests include paediatrics, spinal decompression therapy and treating patients presenting with sports injuries.

Dr. Grant I’Ons

- Council Member -

 

Dr. Grant I’Ons, owner of Bryanston Sports and Chiropractic Family Clinic, is a licensed Chiropractor in family practice and serves the Bryanston community. After graduating with an M.Tech Chiro degree Dr. Grant went on to write the General Chiropractic Council examination at the Glamorgan University in Wales which also gives him eligibility to practice in the United Kingdom. After working as an associate chiropractor in a sports injury clinic in Johannesburg he started the Bryanston Sports and Chiropractic Clinic where he currently practices.

 

Dr. Grant serves on the council of the Chiropractic Association of South Africa in addition to being affiliated to the Federation Internationale de Chiropractique du Sport as an internationally certified chiropractic sports practitioner.  When not treating patients he is involved with the development of chiropractic students at the University of Johannesburg. In this capacity Dr. Grant has been involved in content development, lecturing and subject moderation.

At Bryanston Sports and Chiropractic Family Clinic Dr. Grant provides safe, effective, patient-centred care that is based upon current evidence-based clinical guidelines for patients with sports injuries as well as general neuromusculoskeletal complaints.

Dr. Michael Pritchard

- Council Member -

 

Dr. Michael Pritchard is the owner and clinic director of the Sports Injury Clinic in Fourways, Johannesburg. He earned his Mtech: Chiropractic from the University of Johannesburg in 2001 and has been a practicing chiropractor ever since. In 2004 he opened the Sports Injury Clinic which operates as a multi-disciplinary centre incorporating the services of chiropractors, podiatrists, biokineticists, sports massage therapists and dieticians.

He has treated many top sportsmen and women and a highlight in the early part of his career was a helicopter flight to a game lodge where he treated the actor Chuck Norris.

Dr. Michael serves on the council of the Chiropractic Association of South Africa in addition to being a member of Chirosport South Africa. He is also a supervising clinician at the University of Johannesburg Chiropractic Campus Clinic.

Dr. Lisa Dorothy Dickerson

- Council Member -

Dr. Lisa Dickerson, the owner and chiropractor at Boskruin Chiropractic, has been a practicing chiropractor for the past nine-and-a-half years since graduating in 2008. Dr. Lisa earned her Mtech: Chiropractic from the University of Johannesburg in 2008 as well as obtaining the post-graduate Diploma: Sports Chiropractic in the same year.

Dr. Lisa enjoys treating patients in a general Chiropractic practice but has a special interest in Sports Chiropractic and Paediatric Chiropractic care. After graduating she served the Olivedale Family Practice as Chiropractor for three-and-a-half years before joining the Discovery Health Wellness Centre.  During this time Dr. Lisa was also a lecturer at the Department of Chiropractic of the University of Johannesburg where she facilitated the 4th year subject, Clinical Biomechanics. Since 2011 she has been treating chiropractic ailments at Bryanston Chiropractic as well as at the Morningside Chiropractic and Sports Injuries Clinic with her current practice being Boskruin Chiropractic in Randburg.

Since November 2016 Dr. Lisa can be found at Boskruin Chiropractic practice offering general Chiropractic care with special interests in sports chiropractic care and paediatric chiropractic care.

Dr. Brett Michael Allison

- Council Member -

Dr. Brett Allison is a licensed chiropractor and owner of Highway Chiropractic located in Pinetown and Assegay. He completed his Master’s degree in Chiropractic at the Durban University of Technology in 2012 whereafter he joined Highway Chiropractic and has been practicing full-time ever since.

Dr. Brett’s Master's level research included a study into the treatment and prevention of hamstring muscle injuries which allowed him to work with some of the top runners and a team of professional soccer players.  He has a strong interest in working with sportsmen and women and has also worked with several rugby teams as the team doctor.

Dr. Brett serves on the council of the Chiropractic Association of South Africa in addition to being a member of Chirosport South Africa.  He has a passion for the function and form of the human body and, being an active sportsman himself allows him to best understand the injuries with which many of his patients present. Dr. Brett’s special interests lie in Sports Chiropractic and he particularly enjoys treating muscle strains and tears, rotator cuff injuries, mechanical low back pain and headaches.
